Denison Middle is pleased to announce our 8th-grade formal “A Night Under the Stars” from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Saturday, May 25th. This letter is to inform you of the rules and requirements for this dance.

1. Tickets are $20.00 (+ taxes and fees). Tickets include admission to the dance, a drink, and a snack. All sales are FINAL. No refunds will be available.

2. Students must be on track to be promoted to the 9th grade. This means they cannot have any incomplete credit/grade recovery or be on the list to attend summer school. Students who are not on track to be promoted will not be allowed to purchase a ticket or attend.

3. Students may not receive any more than 3  (OSS) or Major Behavioral referrals Subject to approval from Denison Administration.

4. Dress Code: Formal wear is required. NO Jeans, Shorts, slides/flip flops.

· Males: i.e. Slacks, polo, button-down shirt, tie, blazer, dress shoes.

· Females: i.e. Dress, Skirt (must be mid-thigh and no excess skin exposed per code of conduct), slacks, blouse,  dress shoes, wedges, or sensible heels.

5. This is a school event. All school rules apply throughout the evening. Please respectfully conduct yourself (Students not following rules will be removed from the event).

6. Students must be dropped off no earlier than 5:45 pm and picked up no later than 9:00 pm from the patio area. Students must be picked up ON TIME.

Please remember only current Denison Middle School 8th Grade scholars who qualify (per above) are permitted to attend the dance (No visitors from other schools are allowed.) Failure to comply with the above rules can result in denied entry or dismissal from the dance and refunds will not be issued.
